Chimney Cleaning...or lack of

OK, now that we had the birds out of our chimney, we called back Murphy’s Chimney cleaning service to come out and do a cleaning. We wanted to get the awful soot smell out of the house before Mary’s mother arrived. So he came out, propped his ladder on our chimney and knocked several bricks down, landing on the flu. We knew that the top of our chimney was loose and in bad shape, because this same guy came out and did an inspection to give us a quote on a repair. So, I figure that sometime in-between then and now he forgot about that. So, he said that he could not do anything until the chimney was repaired, and since the bricks where now sitting on our flu, he could not open it to do a proper cleaning. So, be packed his stuff up, and said to call him when we were ready to repair/rebuild the chimney. Now the top looks worse than it did before. But at least if it ever falls over, it will fall on our roof and not the neighbor's house.

Really Lame Note: While we were sitting in the living room waiting for my friends to go to dinner for my birthday (MF) suit was falling inside the house because it was so windy outside and Patrick had to get his hands dirty to get the flu to shut a little more to keep the suit from completely covering our living room. So mad at the chimney guy right now.
